Shoscombe Cottage – Window Transformation
Location: Shoscombe, Somerset
We’ve completed another key stage in the ongoing transformation of this stunning Shoscombe cottage, carefully balancing restoration with modern functionality while respecting the property’s original character.
This phase of work included:
- Front windows replaced in a traditional cottage style, enhancing authenticity and kerb appeal
- A later-added bay window removed to restore the property’s original proportions and historic charm
- Side extension upgraded with new windows, along with a thoughtful relocation of the staircase to improve internal flow
- Carefully matched stonework to ensure a seamless blend between old and new sections of the building
Every detail has been carefully considered to preserve the cottage’s character while improving comfort, flow, and long-term usability.
